One thing I really love to do is draw, but I often find myself struggling when it comes to thinking of what I want to draw. I want something that I'll have fun drawing, and I want something that I can put my own spin on. It's the most annoying feeling in the world when I want to doodle, but I'm just not feeling creative at all! All of you out there that know this feeling all too well, this is for you. This is what I like to do to try to get inspiration for my drawing.
For starters, I am not the greatest artist in the world on my own. I have never taken an art class in my life so my artistic skills are a little limited. Lucky for me, there's this beautiful thing called YouTube, where you can find tutorials on literally everything. There is even a tutorials on how to pick up a chairs (And here's a link in case you don't believe me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0GPQpAbTyw ). One thing I like to do is go onto YouTube and just look up drawing tutorials. Even if I don't already have an idea in mind I usually find a tutorial that makes me go "Hey, that's cool! I wanna draw that!" Even if it's not an original idea, at least I have something to draw now and that's better than nothing. One person that I've found I like is Mark Crilley, because he has an assortment of drawing tutorials. Tutorials for realistic, cartoon and even manga drawings and I just really love that he has such a large variety of tutorials. Below are two tutorials that I've followed along with.

Below was what I ended up with from following along.
Another thing I like to do for inspiration is turn to the magical land of Pintrest (WARNING: Pintrest can be highly addictive!). Pintrest is the ultimate place to go for inspiration for just about anything. I like to look up drawings, and tutorials on there as well. Usually tutorials are to a much smaller extent then on YouTube since it's mostly just pictures, but they are still pretty great tutorials. I either just scroll through pictures until I feel inspired, or use the tutorials to learn a few things. Then I can just use what I've learned how to draw and create an original picture. Below are two drawing that I created after turning to Pintrest for inspiration.
I hope you can now use my methods to find your own inspiration, and create some awesome drawings you can be proud of!
